I have been a full time pastor since 2001 in Keokuk, IA and Denison, IA and began my ministry at CLW on February 1, 2025.  Prior to full time ministry I was an Actuary for insurance companies in Omaha and then Des Moines and started an Actuarial Consulting company with a friend prior to going to seminary in Austin, TX in 1998.  

I was married to Tamara on December 22, 2024 and now combined we have 5 children (Marcus, Kevin and Alyssa from my side and Sarah and Hannah from hers) and 12 grandkids (we each brought six into the marriage).  

I became a true follower of Jesus during my Sophomore year (1983) at Simpson College in Indianola, IA through the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA).  

I enjoy studying the original languages, culture and history of the Bible and helping people get to know our triune God better through His word, aided by The Spirit.  

I like to spend time with my wife, kids and grandkids and also enjoy reading and dabbling in some video and podcast discussions about philosophy, math, science and life with a friend through IntersectingUs.com
